CLASS SIGNUP POLICY
- Full amount required to signup, no deposits.
- Refunds are not available if you cancel.
- Refunds in full only if Nick cancels a class.
- If you cancel 45 days before a class, you may apply this amount to a future class within six months of your cancelled class date.
- Exceptions will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
IMPORTANT NOTE: 5 Students Per Class Maximum. Booking is disabled automatically when a class reaches its 5 student limit.

Transformative Woodturning: Elevate your Creations with Surface Texture | SEPT 5-7, 2024

SKILL LEVEL: Some Woodturning Experience to Advanced
DESCRIPTION: in this class, students will have numerous opportunities to explore surface techniques. You are encouraged to invent a new texture using the variety of tools provided. Each student will receive detailed instructions on bowl-turning techniques, including push/pull and shear cuts. Additionally, you will learn to sharpen and hone tools using the Tormek T-8 grinder.
We will use Chroma Craft finishes to create stunning copper, bronze pewter, and rust effects on wooden surfaces. You can also craft your own Nick Agar signature Viking Sunset bowl, incorporating surface enhancements such as pyrography engraving and punching.
The course will also cover spindle and end grain turning with projects like goblets and chalices.

DESCRIPTION: In this class, you will explore the signature elements that define my work, from the captivating Viking Sunset Bowls to the intricate wall art and everything in between. Through hands-on sessions, you will learn traditional wood turning techniques which we will enhance with surface embellishments and expert finishing methods.
Over the next three days we’ll cover a breadth of woodturning skills, ensuring a packed agenda filled with practical learning. By the end of the course, each participant will depart from my workshop here in Brooklet with newly honed skills and a fresh wave of inspiration and concrete ideas to tackle your future projects and your home workshops.
